After several coats of wax

DOH! Fit check revealed something was WAY off - the bottom bracket was roughly three inches too low. Sliding the mount up ran it into the wheel, so I busted out the zip saw, cut off the bottom bracket, re-machined the mount, and tack welded the bottom bracket back on.

Looks like we're back on track...

... IF my left leg has enough room between the fork stanchion and the body (already considering my options if the stanchion needs a detour).

Taking the subframe for a test spin. We were concerned about the clearance between my leg and the derailleur.

Turns out, the derailleur clearance is no problem, but there's even less room for handlebars/stem that we originally thought. Suddenly, the flat stem of the Varna makes a lot of sense ;-)
